In April 2022, it was reported that Bankroll Freddie was arrested for possession of firearms and drugs. The rapper allegedly had numerous weapons in his vehicle and 21 pounds of marijuana. Since then, it has been revealed Freddie was released under strict conditions.
This comes after it was revealed that the rapper was indicted on three charges: “possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a machine gun, and possession of firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.” Judge Edie Ervin spoke on the release of Bankroll Freddie, saying, “His family and community ties, combined with his very public career, makes it unlikely that he will attempt to flee. Instead, he has every incentive to comply with his release conditions so that he may continue working.” The court noted the rapper was released because he has no felony convictions and doesn’t have a history of violence, which doesn’t make him a threat to the community.
Conditions for the QC rapper were stated in paperwork, saying he has an 11:00 pm to 7:00 am curfew, he must refrain from associating with other felons, and stay away from marijuana and excessive drinking. Bankroll Freddie is also allowed to make music in the studio, shoot videos, and tour. However, he isn’t allowed to attend any after parties.
