Mozzy Turns Himself in To Start 1-Year Sentence for Federal Gun Charge
Sacramento rapper Mozzy (real name Timothy Patterson) turned himself over to police on Thursday (July 28) to begin serving his 1-year sentence for a federal gun charge.
The sentence is linked to charges that stemmed from a traffic stop in January of 2021 in Culver City, California. Police say that after Mozzy was pulled over for a traffic violation, they smelled marijuana in his vehicle, which was promptly searched. Inside, police found a Glock 26, 16 rounds of 9mm ammunition, and marijuana.
“We can confirm Timothy Cornell Patterson entered Bureau of Prisons’ custody at the United States Penitentiary (USP) Atwater on July 28, 2022,” Randilee Giamusso said. “He has a projected release date of July 23, 2023.”
Mozzy is just a week out from releasing his seventh studio album “Survivor’s Guilt.” Released via Yo Gotti’s CMG, the 15-track project featured guest verses from Roddy Ricch and Shordie Shordie, as well as fellow CMG labelmates EST Gee, Blac Youngsta and Moneybagg Yo.

Louisiana Rapper JayDaYoungan Shot & Killed In His Home Town
Louisiana rapper JayDaYoungan was fatally shot in his hometown of Bogalusa, north of New Orleans, police said.
The musician, whose real name is Javorius Scott, was killed Wednesday just after 6 p.m. He was 24.
Police said they received a call about a shooting just before 6 p.m. Wednesday. One of the injured people was brought to Our Lady of the Angels emergency room. Another victim, still on scene, was critically wounded and was transported there by ambulance.
