Kevin Gates First Vlog Since Release From Prison
Kevin Gates shares his first video-blog since being released from prison.
Kevin Gates was released from jail in January but despite his freedom, his travel was restricted due to orders from the Department of Corrections in Illinois. The rapper had to cancel some of his initial shows while he worked on getting travel permissions.
He finally performed his first show at the Novo in L.A. on June 24th. Today, he has shared a 10 minute vlog, his first since release from prison earlier this year. In the clip, he gives fans a behind the scenes look at him preparing for the show, recording new music in the studio and shooting a music video with Gucci Mane directed by Eif Rivera. Watch it below.

Kevin Gates Previews New Music
On Sunday night, Kevin Gates jumped on Instagram to preview some new music.
Kevin Gates was released from jail in January but despite his freedom, his travel has been extremely restricted due to orders from the Department of Corrections in Illinois. Gates had to cancel most of his upcoming shows and has not been able to visit his family in California because of the travel ban.
“The Illinois Department of Corrections has prevented Kevin from leaving the state of Illinois,” the rapper’s wife Dreka recently informed fans on Instagram. “He isn’t even allowed to come home to California where we live. Since he was released in January, he has not been able to come home not one time.”
