Pooh Shiesty Drops New “FDO” Video

Memphis rap star Pooh Shiesty has officially re-entered the spotlight with the release of his powerful new single and music video, “FDO”—an acronym for First Day Out. The track marks his first official release following his early release from federal prison in October 2025, ending a multi-year absence that left fans wondering if and how he would reclaim his place in rap.

From the moment the video opens, it’s clear: this isn’t just a song—it’s a statement. “FDO” captures Shiesty’s emotional and physical transition from incarceration back into freedom, blending gritty storytelling with triumphant imagery.

His delivery remains intense and cold-blooded, a reminder of why he was considered one of the most exciting street rappers before prison.

Pooh Shiesty Sentenced to 63 Months in Prison Over 2020 Shooting

Pooh Shiesty will spend the next several years behind bars.

On Wednesday, the 22-year-old rapper—born Lontrell Williams Jr.—received a 63-month prison sentenced in his federal firearms case. U.S. District Judge Kevin Michael Moore announced the decision Wednesday in Miami Federal Court, more than three months after Pooh Shiesty pleaded guilty to a firearms conspiracy charge stemming from an alleged armed robbery at a Florida hotel. The rapper was accused of shooting 28-year-old Brandon Cooper in October 2020, when he allegedly met up with the victim to purchase marijuana and sneakers.

Prosecutors said the illegal transaction took a drastic turn, when Pooh Shiesty and his friends took the items without paying. Pooh Shiesty was accused of shooting Cooper in the buttocks before he and his crew fled the scene in a rented McLaren. As they drove away, a bag containing more than $40,000 in cash fell from the vehicle. Police managed to link the money to the rapper by referencing a serial number on a bill that was posted on Pooh Shiesty’s Instagram.

Though Cooper survived the incident, Pooh Shiesty was ultimately charged with four counts related to the shooting; but under the 2022 plea agreement, prosecutors agreed to drop three of the original counts, including one that carried a maximum sentence of life in prison. He was facing an eight-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to the single firearms conspiracy charge.

“Listen, nobody’s happy to go to prison, but he was happy the judge listened to our argument, and the judge received the argument well. He was satisfied with the outcome,” his attorney, Bradford Cohen, told Rolling Stone. “We’re happy with the decision of the court.”

Pooh Shiesty has been indicted over the alleged shooting and robbery of two men outside a Bay Harbor Islands hotel.

The 21-year-old was charged, along with Bobby Brown and Jayden Darosa, for robbing two men after the trio allegedly met the two victims in October to buy marijuana and “high-end athletic sneakers.” Pooh Shiesty, whose real name is Lontrell Williams, showed up in a McLaren while Darosa was driving a Mercedes Maybach.

Surveillance footage reportedly showed Williams and Brown shoot the two men. One of the robbery victims was shot in the hip, while the other was shot in the rear. According to a criminal complaint, Williams used a Draco subcompact machine gun and never paid the victims.

Investigators claimed the rapper’s social media posts were key in building their case. A Louis Vuitton bag that fell out of the McLaren contained over $40,000 in cash. In addition to Williams posting photos of himself with cash and rifles, investigators discovered that one of the bills in the bag had the same serial number as the one depicted on Instagram. Williams also posted photos of himself with the same McLaren witnessed in the robbery and Darosa made an Instagram post that showed him posing with the same Draco used by Williams.

Williams was released on bail earlier this month but remained in jail over a shooting incident at the King of Diamonds strip club. The security guard, who was shot at the strip club, recanted his statement and caused Williams to be denied bail while investigators figure out why the alleged victim backtracked.

As for the October robbery, Pooh Shiesty has been charged with discharging a firearm during a violent crime, conspiracy, and robbery under a law regulating commerce. The rapper will be held in federal custody until a hearing on July 6.

Shiesty was denied bail in connection to the recent alleged shooting at the King of Diamonds nightclub. He allegedly shot security guard Frivin Dor in the ankle. Dor recanted his statement but the authorities seem to think that he may have been pressured into changing his statement.

“This is very concerning to me,” Miami-Dade prosecutor Ruben Scolavino told Circuit Judge Ellen Venzer per the Miami Herald. “Our office is obviously investigating it.”

Pooh Shiesty Appears in Court After King of Diamonds Miami Shooting

Rapper Pooh Shiesty surrendered Tuesday to face a criminal charge from a shooting that allegedly happened over the Memorial Day weekend at a strip club in Northwest Miami-Dade.

The rapper, whose real name is Lontrell Williams, 21, was booked into a Miami-Dade jail on an aggravated battery charge, jail records show.

According to an arrest warrant obtained by the Miami Herald, Williams shot a security guard in the leg. The incident happened on May 30 at the King of Diamonds strip club in Northwest Miami-Dade during the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Video surfaced on Instagram of him walking out of a show at the club with a weapon.

The latest charge adds to the legal woes in Miami for Williams, who is from Memphis, Tennessee, and has a hit song called “Back in Blood.” Williams is part of rapper Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records label.

In December, Williams was arrested in connection with a shooting in Bay Harbor Islands. In that case, he’s charged with armed robbery, aggravated battery with a weapon, aggravated assault with a firearm and petty theft. He’s pleaded not guilty, and had been out on bond since his March.

His lawyers, Saam Zangeneh and Bradford Cohen, arranged the surrender Tuesday. On Wednesday, a Miami-Dade judge granted Williams a $10,000 bond, but he’ll have to remain in jail until at least Thursday, when he appears before the judge in his earlier case.

At the hearing, Cohen downplayed the strip club incident. “It looks to me like an accidental discharge,” he said.

Miami-Dade prosecutor Ruben Scolavino said Williams was “angry because the victim was a security guard who told him to put away his gun.”

According to the warrant, Williams had just performed at the strip club on the 7000 block of Northwest 72nd Avenue. A security guard was escorting him out just before 4 a.m. through the crowd when “an unknown person knocked money” out of the rapper’s back pocket. The crowd began excitedly trying to pick up the cash.

Williams grew angry and jumped back on the stage to “see who was grabbing his money,” the warrant said. The security guard saw a gun in his waistband. The guard “told the defendant to hide the firearm and tried to put his hand on [Williams’] hand to prevent him from taking the firearm out from his waistband,” the warrant said.
