Bobby Shmurda shares the official music video for his latest single “Shmoney” featuring Quavo and Rowdy Rebel.

Famed NYC rapper Bobby Shmurda is going viral today, after a video of the rapper dancing on stage hit the internet. Many in social media are comparing Bobby’s moves to that of an exotic dancer.

Even before his release from prison, it was clear that Bobby Shmurda was on a new path and was sticking to his plan once released. Now, since being out of prison, Bobby has been moving forward and diving back into his career. Recently while sitting down with Maino, Bobby gave some sound advice to young artists who are trying to make a name for themselves in the music industry, and gave insight from his own experiences along the way.

Rowdy Rebel was released from a New York prison Tuesday after serving six years in prison. He was arrested in 2014, along with Bobby Shmurda and others, on charges of conspiracy, attempted murder, attempted assault, reckless endangerment, and criminal possession of a weapon.
The 29-year-old pleaded guilty in exchange for a six to seven-year sentence. The rapper’s parole hearing occurred in August.
Bobby Shmurda was denied his release from prison during his parole hearing in September. Shmurda admitted that he accepted a longer prison sentence in order to shave time off of Rowdy Rebel’s sentence.
“They offered me five and offered Rowdy 12,” Bobby Shmurda said. “They said the only way they’ll give him seven is if I took seven too. So, you know, I had to take one for the dawgs.”
While no reason was given for the denial, the Brooklyn rapper is expected to remain incarcerated for the rest of his sentence. Bobby Shmurda expected to be released in December 2021.
