Colorado Man Reportedly Robs Bank While Still Wearing Ankle Monitor

Darren Connelly, 26, is accused of robbing Canvas Credit Union on June 15 while wearing an ankle monitor. Authorities say the monitor’s movement aligned with that of the getaway vehicle that was captured by surveillance cameras moments before the robbery.

“There was one ankle monitor in the area of the credit union at the time of the robbery. Furthermore, the same ankle monitor arrived in the area as the suspect vehicle and left the area at the same time as the suspect vehicle,” read the criminal complaint.

Connelly was wearing an ankle monitor due to his 2016 conviction for a liquor store robbery and was paroled this past April.

    R. Kelly Sues Brooklyn Prison After Being Placed On Suicide Watch

Chicago native R. Kelly is suing the Brookly detention centre where he’s being held, as he feels that he’s been subjected to “cruel and unusual punishment.”

    R. Kelly filed his suit against MDC Brooklyn, claiming that the detention centre placed him on suicide watch after his sentencing. The recording artist’s lawyers argue that his 8th Amendment rights are being violated as “he is not suicidal and expressly told MDC officials that he was not suicidal and had no thoughts of harming himself or others.”

    R. Kelly claims that he’s been staying in a single cell with no bed rails, showers, shaving, or toilet paper allowed. He allegedly has to eat meals with his hands and has been completely shut off from loved ones.

Frenchie Faces 25 Years in Prison After Botched Robbery In New York

A New York-based rapper known as Frenchie (aka Gregg Hogan) has been convicted of three counts of first-degree burglary and one count of second-degree burglary for an intense home invasion that occurred last year on May 7th around 3:20 am.

The incident stems from a botched effort to rob a home in Shirley, New York for about $100,000 worth of marijuana. Frenchie BSM and six other men entered the wrong home and encountered a family of three, which included a mother, a father, and their autistic teenage son. The latter was pistol-whipped because he was unable to follow the assailants’ orders in a timely fashion. Eventually, all three of the victims were placed on the ground, while the perpetrators ran rampant throughout the household in search of the cannabis that they were given the wrong information about and subsequently never found.

In the end, Frenchie and his co-conspirators only managed to seize a little bit of money and the teenager’s iPhone. Local authorities later apprehended Frenchie, who was the getaway driver, and three other perpetrators. Their arrests came at different times and locations. The names of the three other captives are Donte Thomas, who was sentenced to nine years in prison, Miguel Ruiz, who is facing 25 years in prison, and Brayan Medrano whose sentence is still pending. The remaining three burglars are still at large.

Shortly after it was determined that Frenchie BSM would be facing up to 25 years in prison, Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney, shared the news with the public.

“No family in Suffolk County should have to fear that their home is going to be broken into in the middle of the night,” Tierney said. “This defendant took part in a burglary which removed this family’s sense of safety and security in their own home. I want to thank the jury for their service, which ensures the defendant will be held accountable for his reprehensible actions.”
