    Lil Durk & GF India Survive Home Invasion Shootout

    Georgia police are investigating a home invasion turned shootout at rapper Lil Durk’s home in the Atlanta suburbs, Vulture has confirmed. Lil Durk, real name Durk Derrick Banks, and his girlfriend, India Cox, were at their residence in the Chateau Elan neighborhood of Braselton, Georgia, when “several unidentified individuals” entered around 5:14 a.m. Sunday.

    During the break-in, “the suspects and the residents exchanged gunfire,” the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said in a statement. Neither Banks nor Cox were hurt during what authorities have described as an “aggravated assault/home invasion incident.”

    A Detroit woman confronted the man who stole her Mercedes Benz Wednesday after tracking her vehicle throughout the city.

    For two days, Bianca Chambers tracked her car using social media tips before finding it parked outside of a barbershop. Rather than wait for the police to arrive and risk losing the thief, she decided to confront the man herself.

    “I slashed all the tires and I thought that he was gonna take off and I didn’t know how long it was going to take for the police to pull up. And I refused to let him pull off again,” she said.

    After entering the establishment, she asked the man if the Mercedes outside was his. When he tried denying it, he was physically taken down by customers at the shop and dragged outside by his dreads. Chambers documented the whole exchange on Facebook Live. After apprehending the suspect, she slashed her own tires to prevent the car thief from escaping and taking off.

    When speaking to news reporters, Chambers said the thief rode all over town and even stopped at the strip mall where she owns a boutique. The suspect even got her vehicle detailed.

    “They was driving, they was having a good time,” she said. “They was smoking but, yes, when I got my car, it was very clean…You’re just the dumbest criminal, that’s all. You’re joyriding in my car like nobody was going to see.”

    The thief reportedly has a history of car thefts dating back to since he was a teen.

    The Chicago rapper, KTS Dre, whose real name is Londre Sylvester, was shot dead at least 64 times, police said.

    Sylvester had “just been released” from custody and was walking alongside the 60-year-old woman “to an awaiting vehicle when several unknown (suspects) exited two separate vehicles and all began to shoot in Sylvester’s direction, striking him numerous times,” the police report added.

    Police found 59 shell casings littered across the street from the Cook County Jail, where the killing unfolded.

    The rapper, 31, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

    KTS Dre had a target tattoo on his neck, with his stage name Kill to Survive accompanying it.

    A woman, 60, was shot in the knee but was in good condition. She had been with Sylvester when he was ambushed.

    After the shooting, the suspects re-entered their vehicles and departed in different directions, police said.

    “It appears Sylvester was the intended target while (the women) were inadvertently struck,” the report went on.

    TikTok Star Swavy Reportedly Shot Dead at 19

    TikTok star Swavy, a.k.a. Babyface.S, was reportedly shot dead in Wilmington, Delaware Monday night.

    Law enforcement has not confirmed the 19-year-old’s passing but local outlets reported that he was the unidentified victim who was fatally shot. Police did not disclose the location of the gunshot wound but said the victim died at the hospital.

    YouTube star Damaury “Kid Mauri” Mikula confirmed Swavy’s death in a tearful video post and said, “Yeah, my friend Swavy, man — he got shot. All he did was make videos — vids, vids, vids, going up, up, up, up.”

    At the time of his death, Swavy — real name Matima Miller — had over 2.3 million followers on TikTok. The social media star was known for his dancing videos and comedy skits and had another 365,000 followers on Instagram.

    Swavy’s death brings Wilmington’s homicide count to 16 for the year. In 2021, the city has experienced 82 shootings, which is nine more than the city had during the same period last year.

    96 People Shot, Including 2 Cops, 14 Killed in Chicago Fourth of July Weekend

    The Fourth of July weekend marked the deadliest and most violent in Chicago this year, as 92 people were shot, with 16 being killed, according to a report from the Chicago Sun-Times. Of the 76 people wounded were six children and teenagers and two Chicago police supervisors.

    One incident happened at Washington Park on the South Side, where two men, one 21 and the other 26, were fatally wounded, and two children, a 12-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy, were wounded and taken to a local hospital. Around the same time as that shooting, a 6-year-old girl and a woman were shot in West Pullman, and about four hours later, an 11-year-old boy and a man were shot in Brainerd on the South Side. The following day in West Pullman, a 5-year-old girl was shot in the leg.

    Early on Monday (July 5) morning, a Chicago police commander and a sergeant were shot while trying to disperse a crowd on the city’s West Side in the 100-block of North Long Avenue. The commander was struck in the foot and the sergeant was grazed in the leg.

    Amid the violence on Sunday, Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow PUSH Coalition held a cookout and party at the Concordia Place Apartments on the Far South Side. Jackson spoke to the crowd and urged citizens to stop the violence, stating, “We urge people… to put down their guns, stop the violence. Of course, when they see violence – (an) attempt to overthrow our government and they’re treated with kid gloves, it decreases the message: If you pick up a gun and shoot somebody, you’re not walking away. We deserve a better America.”

    Feds Use Instagram Photos to Indict Pooh Shiesty

    Pooh Shiesty has been indicted over the alleged shooting and robbery of two men outside a Bay Harbor Islands hotel.

    The 21-year-old was charged, along with Bobby Brown and Jayden Darosa, for robbing two men after the trio allegedly met the two victims in October to buy marijuana and “high-end athletic sneakers.” Pooh Shiesty, whose real name is Lontrell Williams, showed up in a McLaren while Darosa was driving a Mercedes Maybach.

    Surveillance footage reportedly showed Williams and Brown shoot the two men. One of the robbery victims was shot in the hip, while the other was shot in the rear. According to a criminal complaint, Williams used a Draco subcompact machine gun and never paid the victims.

    Investigators claimed the rapper’s social media posts were key in building their case. A Louis Vuitton bag that fell out of the McLaren contained over $40,000 in cash. In addition to Williams posting photos of himself with cash and rifles, investigators discovered that one of the bills in the bag had the same serial number as the one depicted on Instagram. Williams also posted photos of himself with the same McLaren witnessed in the robbery and Darosa made an Instagram post that showed him posing with the same Draco used by Williams.

    Williams was released on bail earlier this month but remained in jail over a shooting incident at the King of Diamonds strip club. The security guard, who was shot at the strip club, recanted his statement and caused Williams to be denied bail while investigators figure out why the alleged victim backtracked.

    As for the October robbery, Pooh Shiesty has been charged with discharging a firearm during a violent crime, conspiracy, and robbery under a law regulating commerce. The rapper will be held in federal custody until a hearing on July 6.
