Last week, over the course of 12 hours, 24-year-old Dijon Landrum was arrested three times and released each time over coronavirus concerns. According to the Glendora Police Department, Landrum received his three citations between 8:28 AM and 8:50 PM including one instance where he allegedly led officers on a pursuit.
The early-morning incident involved Landrum allegedly attempting to break into a vehicle. When police arrived, Landrum attempted to get away in another stolen vehicle taken from the East Los Angeles area. He was apprehended and charged with driving a stolen vehicle, as well as possession of narcotics and stolen property. An hour after being released on California’s “Zero Bail-Policy,” Landrum was arrested again for stealing after a call was placed about a man taking items from residents’ front yards and putting them in the box he was carrying.
Landrum went through the same routine of arrest-citation-release and by 8:50 PM that night was back in police custody after stealing another vehicle. This time Landrum led police on a pursuit that ended in the Pasadena area of Los Angeles County and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and for evading officers.
