Soulja Boy reportedly has been ordered to pay over $235k in a civil lawsuit brought forth by ex-girlfriend Kayla Meyers.
The woman filed a lawsuit claiming the rapper beat her in the head with a gun after she got into a fight with his female assistant. From there, Meyers said the rapper punched her in the face and then told his assistant to tie her up with extension cords. From there, Meyers claimed the rapper held her hostage for 6 hours and that another person demanded she perform a sexual act in order to be let go.
Because of the situation, the jury gave the alleged victim $234,000 for physical and mental pain and suffering and $1,800 for mental health expenses. The jury reportedly found the rapper participated in the conduct with “malice, oppression, or fraud.” A Los Angeles jury reached the verdict in the suit on April 21. Soulja Boy denied any wrongdoing in the case, saying the injuries caused to Meyers were due to third parties not in his control. Stay tuned for more updates.
