Benzino is ready for a fresh start, as he has officially been released from jail after turning himself in due to an altercation charge back in July 2020. Following his release, Benzino wasted no time and quickly headed to social media to update his fans and let them know that he’s “back to da bag.”

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame recently revealed their inductees for the class of 2022. Amongst the entire list of award-winning recording artists, producers, and executives, only one rapper was selected this year, Eminem.
Although the Detroit-based emcee has overcome his fair share of racial barriers during the developmental stage of his career, many of his skeptics have been quick to point out the advantages that his skin color has afforded him in the mainstream. Thus, when the major announcement came down the pipeline on Wednesday, his old rival Benzino, couldn’t resist the urge to dredge up deep-rooted race-based resentment towards Eminem. Benzino called into question how deserving he was of such a prestigious honor when there are still so many rappers of color who have yet to have been inducted. The 56-year-old aired out his grievances by indicating that Em’s nomination was largely based on the color of his skin before mentioning a litany of rappers who exceed his old nemesis in terms of seniority in the rap game.
“Rock and roll hall of fame is just like the Grammy’s,” he wrote on Twitter. “They have no respect for our culture, Black or Hip Hop and if you don’t agree, you’re racist, period point blank.”
Benzino continued, “So where’s Nas, Eric B and RAKIM, Kool Moe D, Epmd, Fearless Four, Fat Boyz, Lauren Hill, Little Kim, OutKast and 100s other Black rappers?? GTFOH.”
An alleged phone call between Benzino and transgender actress Shauna Brooks recently caused a social media feud between the rapper and 50 Cent. In a tell-all interview with Jazzy McBee on Streetz 94.5 Atlanta, Brooks clarified her dealings with Benzino while claiming he made sexual advances toward her.
Brooks alleged that the 56-year-old once tried to entice her to partake in a threesome, involving him and a stripper. She told a story about how Benzino called her one night at two in the morning and propositioned her with the idea to have sex with him and a stripper who was at his house.
Benzino attempts to dissect the incident on Oscar night involving Will Smith and Chris Rock. As the conversation continues, the former magazine proprietor also addresses the violent nature of the iconic ‘Sour Awards,’ by citing examples of Sticky Fingaz busting shots on stage, E-40 beating up somebody, and hiring the nation of Islam security.
Benzino talks about the collaborative effort between his daughter, Coi Leray, and Nicki Minaj. He later addresses why he chose to end his beef with Eminem after nearly two decades. Lastly, the 56-year-old addresses Coi Leray’s sexuality, false rumors of him being gay, Kanye’s recent combative nature with other celebrities, wanting to see Black men do better, and his thoughts on the newly developed contraceptive pill for men.

Benzino ran into some trouble with police in Braselton, Georgia, and the bodycam footage was recently released.
The footage shows police questioning Benzino and his ex-girlfriend Althea Hart, who is also the mother of his youngest son. Althea and her man that was with her claimed that Benzino punched the man’s truck, which led to them calling the police.
After others confirmed that they saw Benzino punch the truck, which had visible damage, Benzino was arrested for criminal damage. After being handcuffed, a visibly upset Benzino questioned Althea why she would press charges and have him arrested. You can see the full situation unfold above.
